Keeping with the mission of trade show TCT +Personalize to accelerate adoption of 3D technologies across all industry segments, Inert will showcase its PureLab HE 4GB 1800 glovebox system and Argon-1-RSR gas management system at Booth D38 in Hall 3A at the 21st annual event, held this year on September 28-29 at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham UK. Inert President Daniel Clay explains how his company is excited to educate additive manufacturers on how they can reduce inert gas usage and achieve an ideal working environment with Inert’s hermetic enclosures and gas management systems.

Inert President Daniel Clay explains, “We engineer our enclosures and gas management systems to provide a safe, working environment and air-free atmospheric conditions of less than 1 part per million of oxygen and water because we know that is the ideal production scenario for additive manufacturers working with reactive metals.” He adds, “Even better, we have designed our customizable systems to reduce and recycle argon usage — or whichever inert gas you choose — to help cut operating costs and gas canister needs.”

Designed as modular units that easily integrate with any hermetic enclosure in the world, the main line of Inert gas management systems are named Argon-1, Argon-2, Argon-10, Argon-20, Nitrogen-1, Nitrogen-2, Nitrogen-10, and Nitrogen-20. Fitting enclosures from 6m3 to 50m3, each model has at least one regenerable purifying column, as well as options for analyzers, vacuum pumps, heating, and solvent removal. The Argon-1-RSR, to be displayed at TCT +Personalize, is designed for large capacity regenerable solvent removal within an enclosure up to 6m3.

According to Clay, Inert estimates that each properly maintained system reclaims up to 98 percent of the gas, with the remaining two percent lost to antechamber use. In addition to this operational cost savings, these Inert systems feature safety measures, such as air purges and lock-out functions, in addition to real-time measurement of oxygen and moisture levels.

Also on display will be Inert’s PureLab HE 4GB 1800 glovebox system from the PureLab line, a fully-automated and flexible enclosure platform designed specifically for production and research applications. Expansion features for manufacturing and laboratory glovebox systems include additional antechambers for thru-flow work processes, cold-storage freezers, process vacuum ovens, furnaces, and integration of a solvent purification system.

Inert’s complete line of gloveboxes, enclosures, and gas management systems are tailored for easy integration with existing equipment, and customizable for unique manufacturing and research applications. For more information, please call Inert at 978.462.4415.
