Glove Integrity Tester

In controlled environments such as laboratories and the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, protecting personnel and maintaining sample integrity is critical. Various types of equipment are used for this purpose, including gloves.

To ensure glove reliability in these environments, glove integrity (tightness) testers are commonly used.

Description of the EREA Glove Integrity Tester— Available in the U.S. through INERT

As the U.S. distributor of EREA technologies, INERT provides the EREA Glove Integrity Tester to support regulated and high-containment environments.

  • The tester developed by EREA is:
  • Equipped with two sensors that detect the pressure inside the glove
  • Integrated with a Siemens HMI interface for full control
  • Designed to be lighter, with lower energy consumption and greater autonomy
  • Easy to use, with reduced mechanical complexity
  • Adaptable to different glove port formats (round, oval, etc.)
  • Featuring exclusive dual-sensor technology

The glove integrity tester is controlled via the Siemens WinCC Unified system, a recognized reference in the pharmaceutical industry. This interface provides complete and intuitive traceability, including:

  • Automatic report generation
  • Alarm log accessible at any time
  • Secure audit trail to ensure data integrity

This solution is perfectly suited to demanding and regulated environments.

Thanks to its intelligent design, the tester allows continuous calibration using pressure sensors without any disassembly. It incorporates exclusive dual-sensor technology:

  • The first sensor measures and regulates the pressure inside the glove
  • The second continuously monitors the reliability of the first sensor

If a deviation is detected, a preventive alarm is triggered to alert the user that calibration is required.

The glove tester is compatible with WPA2 Enterprise, a centralized authentication protocol ensuring that only authorized devices can connect to the Wi-Fi network. In addition, the Wi-Fi router is configured to be invisible to computers, as it does not broadcast its SSID. This ultra-secure connection is accessible only to users with valid credentials, providing effective protection against cyberattacks.
