After Siemens Integration, PureLab HE Emerges As a Go-to Digitally Controlled Glovebox System for Research and Production Work

As hermetic gloveboxes, and the gas management systems used to monitor and control the appropriate atmospheres within them have evolved, so too have the digital electronics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) that enable the most sophisticated digital control. Recently, Inert announced our partnership with Siemens to centralize our approach to digital PLC control by committing to their state-of the-art Totally Automated Integrated (TIA) portfolio of solutions, and the response has been overwhelming from our customers. 

As a result of integrating with Siemens’ SIMATIC S7-1200 programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and SIMATIC human-machine interface (HMI) color panels, our PureLab HE 4GB 2500 gloveboxes are becoming one of our most popular integrated glovebox systems. They are being employed in research and development labs at universities and at various factories performing a number of device assembly (including OLED and semiconductor), welding (ARC, Tig, or Laser), and 3D printing (additive manufacturing) procedures.  The 2500's dimensions of 10 feet wide by six feet tall by three and half feet in depth, and internal work space of approximately eight feet wide by three feet high―make this a very versatile glovebox system with excellent ROI when enhanced with gas management. Designed as a modular system, the PureLab HE family of Gloveboxes also allows for pre-delivery and onsite add-ons and customer-specific tooling.
