Glove Boxes: Ensuring Maximum Radiation Protection
Advanced Radiation Protection and Containment Solutions for Glove Boxes
Inert shielded gloveboxes are engineered to enable safe and continuous operation under a variety of chemical, radiological, structural, and environmental conditions, even in the presence of radioactive samples. Our gloveboxes provide a sealed and shielded workspace where operators can safely handle radioactive or hazardous process fluids and materials, all while maintaining the highest level of safety.
Our team of engineers designs shielded enclosures that comply with international codes and standards, as well as recognized industry best practices for nuclear fabrication and testing.
Inert’s shielded gloveboxes are designed to meet the standards set by the American Glovebox Society (AGS) and fully align with ISO 9001:2015 requirements for all internal processes.
Shielding options include lead or stainless steel panels, and our engineering team excels at designing and integrating customized shielding for all glovebox designs. Additionally, we offer specific coatings such as Halar or Kynar to protect stainless steel from corrosion, ensuring long-term resistance and reliability of the equipment.
Our shielded gloveboxes are often equipped with HEPA and ULPA filtration systems, along with push-through filter housing and filter monitoring systems, to ensure effective air filtration. Extended glove ports and push-through glove ports are also available to facilitate easy and safe glove replacement, along with many other customizable features.
