Overview
The gauntlet is made of soft POLYCHLOROPENE RUBBER. It provides good resistance to the effects of ozone aging, oxygen, weathering, heating, and chemical products. Neoprene is a self-extinguishing material therefore providing an excellent flame resistance for the gauntlet. It is the ideal elastomer, which provides the best compromise to resist the conjugate action of several potentially harmful agents such as oil, ozone, and heat.
Handling Advice
This glove is particularly recommended for:
- Oxidizing products
- Nitric acid
- Concentrated hydrochloric acid
- Ammonia
- Concentrated alkalis
- Alcohols
- Petrol
- Edible oils
- Mineral oils
It allows operating in high oxidizing environments including ozone, active oxygen and/or free radicals. It is resistant to natural aging. Neoprene provides a good flame resistance and is an auto-extinguishing material.
This glove is not suitable for handling:
- Chlorinated solvents
- Aromatic solvents
Maintenance Advice
When possible, after handling, all residues from chemical products should be removed by washing with (soapy) water or by decontamination with current products or with alcohol.
Storage Advice
The gloves must be stored in their original packaging at a temperature between +5°C and +40°C. When removed for use, the gloves must be protected against all risks of deterioration or damage before using.
